The Unknown Stuntman (theme song from The Fall Guy) cover on CBG
Somehow I got the theme song from this 1981 TV series stuck in my head. I sat down and figured out the chords to The Unknown Stuntman (The Fall Guy Theme Song). I realized it's a really fun song to play. Here it is for Sunday Morning. This is one for all the 1980s kids.

    The Monotron Classic is the go to for bass and kick drums. Lots of resonance, use the LFO to control, low cutoff - you have a seismic event on you hands. The delay - superb for adding interest to your mix, it's a monster for making dub and dirty industrial sounds - the Duo is a master for pads and drones. There's my use cases. I own all 3 😊

    very cool. Question, Is it possible to wire a combo to work as a combo while also powering an extension cab? can speakers in both the combo and the extension cab be working at the same time? I'd like to build a small cab with 1 8" in it to compliment the tones I get from a 20 watt solid state combo.

    • @musicalmiscellany
      @musicalmiscellany 5 дней назад

      @@RJsCave Yes. You could follow this tutorial and then create a y-cable that goes to both speakers. The you’d plug in both cabs to the amp output. You could create this cable to be series or parallel depending on the impedance you desire. Does this make sense?

    • @RJsCave
      @RJsCave 5 дней назад

      @@musicalmiscellany I think so. as for the cab, I'll be connecting to an 8 ohm combo so 2 4 ohm speakers in series or would a single 8 ohm speaker would work? I also have a 4ohm combo I'd like to connect a single 4 ohm speaker cab to as well.

    • @musicalmiscellany
      @musicalmiscellany 5 дней назад

      @@RJsCave 2 8-ohm speakers wired in parallel would result in a 4-ohm load. 2 8-ohm speakers wired in series would result in a 16-ohm load. So if your amp was 8-ohm stable, you’d want to use series wiring. It’s really more about the stability of the amp than it is about the speakers.

    As someone who owns all three Monotron types now, I can say each is worth it so long as you get a good deal on one, namely in the ~$50 or less range. They are all incredible but what makes them truly special is how well they integrate with each other, and subsequently the rest of your gear. That's really nice, it has all the features that I'd want, though I'd like more octaves (I realise it would then be less portable). You're singing to the choir. My main MIDI controller for the last 15 years or so has been an M-Audio Oxygen Gen2. I think those came out around 2005 or so. Honestly, it just works and I'm used to it so I've never really went searching for anything else. The Synido model is nice but I also was gifted an Arturia KeyStep recently... so I'm playing around with each of them. Both are several steps above the old Oxygen but I have to say I enjoy the extra octave on the Keystep (so I get your point). Oh, and thanks for checking out the video.

    I wanna get one but I'm a bit nervous... do you think it would be a good combination with a piano during a session?

      Thanks for checking out the video. I could see that pairing working or clashing, it's really more about what you're playing and how they work together. Sorry, that's probably not the answer you wanted but I think any combination of instruments can be great or terrible. It's all subjective.

      @musicalmiscellany Yeah, I build basses and guitars. Also percussion stuff. I never even thought about how easy it would be to make a lap steel. I am definitely gonna do that.

      @@UncleDanBand64 I love my lap steels. I've built three of them and each one has a separate video on my channel.

    Why choose such obscure instruments? Doesn't help anyone. Most people won't even heard of these, let alone want to play them.

    • @musicalmiscellany
      @musicalmiscellany 9 дней назад

      I think I answered that question in the video. I haven't tried every instrument out there but I have tried a lot of them and these are the ones that I had the most difficulty learning. Whether they are popular or not, it's my experience. Additionally, I don't think any of these are that obscure. If you do some searching you'll find each one of these 5 has their own subculture. Thanks for watching the video and commenting though. I appreciate it.
